Breaking The Girl by The Red Hot Chili Peppers

I hadn’t heard this song for a very long time but and then they played it on the radio here in Austin, TX last weekend and I found my creativity stimulated. In fact, I’ll be teaching at a tap workshop in Roswell, NM next month and there is a very good chance that I’ll use this song for the choreography!

I’m even considering adding recording choreography to this song for www.eTapDance.com tomorrow.

What do you think?

    I love tapping to this song (the accents to the waltz rhythm are fun)
    but I’m not sure of the counts of the turn section up to the step scuff cramp roll section. I know it’s hard to give the counts but any help would be appreciated!

    Hey Nancy,

    Thanks for asking…I think the counts are (starting from the two double chugs):

    1 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6, 7 & 8 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4

    Then repeat….does that help?
