What is Tap Dance Songs?
Welcome to TapDanceSongs.com – A site that helps tap dancers find great music quickly and easily.
My name is Terrence Taps. I am a professional tap dancer living and working in Atlanta, GA.
In December, 2006 I launched a blog at www.TapDanceBlog.com believing that tap dancers needed a place to go and be connected to all that is going on in the world of tap. Unlike most other tap sites, my blog is updated at least five times a week with fresh information and news.
www.TapDanceSongs.com is dedicated to helping tap dancers find great music to use in solo performances, classes, shows, practice sessions, & tap jams. Here, you can easily find a wide variety of musical choices and resources.
Start by selecting a style of music on the menu on the left side of the page.
How you can support this site
You can support the growth of this wonderful online resource by doing something that tap dancers do all the time anyway…buy music!
By clicking any of the links and purchasing from the affiliate sites you will be helping to ensure that this site is here for tap dancers for many years to come.
The best way to stay up on everything that is going on here is to join the email list.

Hi Arabelle,
Free music is hard to come by, but you can find many low-cost alternatives. Using these, you can support the artists while still getting a great deal on tap dance music.
Check out the article on this site entitled, “Where to Find Tap Dance Music!”

I’m looking for great tap solos (for guys)!. I need something fast paced and very showy. Interests tend to broadway/show tunes. Any ideas?

Will,
Sorry for the delay! I was performing so much in February that this site slipped off my radar a little. I just started in December of last year.
Graham,
I am going to pool my contacts and see if anyone can recommend a song for you that fits that description.
I can’t think of any off the top of my head but we’ll find something!

Some artist/song ideas for Graham:
BOBBY DARIN (not musical theatre….but GREAT sound)
More
Beginning To See The Light
HARRY CONNICK
There are so many tunes. I don’t know where to start.
MICHAEL BUBLE
I don’t own any of his stuff, but again great arrangements with lots of horns. Definitely showy.
TONY BENNETT
Steppin Out
Hope that helps,
Jennifer

My son is 11yrs old and has been dancing 9 yrs. he’s advanced in tap and had good stage presence. He’s finishing up Putting on the Ritz at Worlds in December so…. We need a new song. His teacher is dying to teach rock, he loves more showy music but we need some common ground that he can sell but can advance his style.. Please Help…. Top of the list is Big Bad Voodoo daddy, Route 66, Centuries by Fall out boy, cats on a hot tin roof…. Any rock or hip hop suggestions??
